Usage

To use the inflatable recovery collar, first inflate the bladder via the valve until it is firm yet squeezable, ensuring you do not over-inflate to avoid stiffness or bursting. For maximum security, thread your pet's existing everyday collar through the inner sleeve of the inflatable ring before putting it on; relying solely on the Velcro closure is not recommended as pets can often wriggle out. Position the collar comfortably around the neck behind the ears and adjust the outer straps until you can fit one finger snugly between the collar and your pet's neck. Always supervise your pet initially to ensure the collar does not obstruct their vision or breathing, and prevent them from chewing the material to avoid punctures.

A soft inflatable recovery collar, also called a donut collar or inflatable e-collar, for dogs and cats after surgery or injury. It is a comfortable alternative to a hard plastic cone: the inflated ring sits around the neck and stops your pet from turning its head far enough to lick or bite stitches, wounds and hot spots on the body. This one comes with a red and green watermelon plush cover. Your pet can still see around it and can eat, drink and sleep normally while wearing it.

Who it is for

  • Dogs and cats recovering from spay or neuter surgery, or other surgery on the body, flank or back legs
  • Pets licking or scratching at wounds, stitches, hot spots or skin conditions
  • Pets that panic, bump into things or will not eat in a hard plastic cone
  • Not ideal for wounds on the face, eyes, ears or front paws, or for pets with long necks and flexible bodies. They may still reach these spots, so ask your vet whether a full cone is needed.

Features

  • Removable plush cover with a zipper, machine washable
  • PVC inner tube with an air valve. Inflate by mouth or pump, deflate flat for storage.
  • Adjustable hook-and-loop strap for a snug fit
