To All Pet Lovers and Caretakers
There was a time when injured or special-needs pets were deemed “no good anymore.” A broken limb, incontinence, or simply falling out of favor meant one grim outcome: euthanasia. But not anymore.
We are awakening to the sacredness of all life. We now understand the profound power of the bond forged when one living being cares for another. Our pets are family—they deserve love, respect, and to be cherished.
Tamecare exists to change the narrative. Our mission is to show the world that there is a compassionate alternative to ending a life. With a little help—be it a diaper, a support leash, or a custom wheelchair—elderly, disabled, or injured pets can enjoy years of high-quality, joyful life.
This company was born from a memory. I founded Tamecare in honor of Mercedes, my beloved Keeshond. She was euthanized on veterinary advice following a diagnosis of mild canine epilepsy. Years later, a dear friend received the same diagnosis. Today, she manages her condition with the occasional pill, living completely symptom-free.
The disparity between these two outcomes was unbearable. I created Tamecare to arm caregivers with the knowledge and tools needed to make loving, informed decisions—not hopeless ones.
Within these pages, you will find stories of hope and healing, along with the products, services, and community support every caretaker needs. Take your time. Explore. Let us give you the information and inspiration to help your pet thrive.
All too often, we hear: “If only I had known about you before I said goodbye.” We must reach these people. We must tell them: There is another way.
With hope,
Tamecare
